A new wildfire was reported today at 3:52 p.m. in Colusa County, California. Walnut Fire has been burning on private land. At this time, there is no data on the containment status of the fire and the cause has yet to be determined.

Laguna Beach police said they identified the suspect as a 13-year-old boy, who was arrested on suspicion of felony reckless burning of forest land.

Currently, the chatbot is unable to provide information about evacuation orders associated with fires. When asked who issues evacuation orders, it sometimes correctly said law enforcement, while other times said it didn’t know. Cal Fire’s Sanchez said it’s reasonable to expect the chatbot to be able to answer questions about evacuations.

Poor Fire initially started today at 1:55 p.m. in Mendocino County, California. It has been burning on federal land managed by the Bureau of Indian Affairs for less than an hour. At this time, the containment status is unknown and the cause of the fire remains undetermined.
