Costco is planning to open a stand-alone gas station. The station will be located in Mission Viejo, Calif. in an area formerly occupied by Bed, Bath & Beyond. The station is expected to open next spring.

Costco is taking huge steps into the gasoline business. Just after announcing its fuel stations will remain open until 10 p.m., the chain is building a stand-alone gas station in Mission Viejo, California. It will be the chain’s largest gas station and its first fuel-only location, the Orange County Register reported.

According to the Orange County Register, Costco will soon debut its first stand-alone gas station — also its largest — in Mission Viejo, a city in Orange County. The 40-pump gas station is slated to be about 2 miles from its nearest retail outlet and accessible to Costco members only.
