People with heart or lung disease, older adults, and children should avoid all physical activity outdoors. Everyone else should avoid prolonged or heavy exertion.

Saturday’s system is particularly concerning, with conditions setting up for severe weather in our area. Most of central Mississippi is under an Enhanced risk (Level 3/5) for all types of severe weather.

An approaching cold front brings a chance of severe weather to the Midlands this weekend, prompting a First Alert Weather Day.

A 19 First Alert Weather Day is in effect for Saturday across Northeast Ohio as the potential for strong to severe storms remains possible during the afternoon and evening hours.

Temperatures peaked in the 60s and 70s across the Rochester region on Tuesday, but what goes up must come down. And it’ll come down fast! Temperatures fall Tuesday night into the 20s by early Wednesday morning.

Jacksonville, Fla. — The First Alert Weather Team is tracking heavy rainfall for Monday morning’s commute. A flood watch is in effect for most of our viewing area. Showers will lighten up by lunchtime. But a few isolated showers may redevelop by the afternoon as the system moves east.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - High pressure sits to our northeast today and a stalled front across central Ohio. A mix of clouds and sun in the forecast. A lake breeze will keep temperatures in the 40s this afternoon for towns downwind of Lake Erie. The Akron-Canton zone, however, will be well in the 60s for a high.

The First Alert Weather Team is tracking cooler temperatures overnight and a dry rest of the week after Monday’s rain.
