Fort Fire initially started 11:27 p.m. June 4 in Kern County. Since its discovery three days ago, it has burned 389 acres. As of Saturday morning, the fire crew succeeded in containing 87% of this wildfire. The blaze's cause remains under investigation.

A 133-acre wildfire burning in Kern County near Lebec has prompted evacuation warnings on Thursday morning. The fire was first reported shortly before midnight near Lebec along the southbound 5 Freeway near the Fort Tejon ramp, according to the Kern County Fire Department.
