The Carolina Hurricanes are now one win shy of advancing to the Eastern Conference Final after a 5-2 win over the Washington Capitals in Game 4 Monday night at Lenovo Center.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have Anthony Edwards. The Golden State Warriors do not. Sometimes, it's just that simple. The Wolves, led by Edwards' 30 points and five assists, beat the Dubs 117-110 on Monday night to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the semifinals of the Western Conference playoffs.

While everybody was busy preparing for their funeral outfit, the Oklahoma City Thunder saw their playoff hopes be saved by their bench. A 92-87 Game 4 win over the Denver Nuggets tied the Round 2 series at 2-2 as Aaron Wiggins was one-third of a reserve hero who helped get an ugly victory.

"Jimmy butler Quit," another said. "He quit," reacted a viewer. In the end, the Timberwolves were able to take a commanding 3-1 series lead after defeating the Warriors at Chase Center in Game 4, 117-110.

As much as the Hurricanes won Game 4, the Capitals lost it with a lack of execution at too many key times. Like in Game 3, they had chances in the first 10 minutes to seize control of the game. They couldn't finish.

Adam Henrique had two goals, Stuart Skinner made 23 saves and the Edmonton Oilers beat the Vegas Golden Knights 3-0 to take a 3-1 lead in their second-round NHL playoff series.
