Geoff Ogilvy of Australia takes over as International captain of the Presidents Cup for 2026 at Medinah with a unique distinction from the previous eight captains. He can claim home-course advantage while trying to lead his team to victory on the road.

At 44, Snedeker is a relatively recent addition to the U.S. captaincy pipeline—he was an assistant under Jim Furyk at Royal Montreal for the last Presidents Cup, and will be one of Keegan Bradley's vice captains at Bethpage this fall.

Snedeker will lead the U.S. team for the first time next year at Medinah Country Club’s No. 3 course outside of Chicago while Ogilvy takes the reins of the International side for his first captaincy.
