The team signed undrafted rookie running back D.K. Kaufman from North Carolina State to fill the open spot of the 90-man preseason roster. The 5-foot-8, 206-pound Kaufman was in Seattle rookie minicamp in May as a tryout player. He was a college safety at Vanderbilt, Auburn and N.C. State.

Seattle Seahawks running back Kenny McIntosh was placed on injured reserve Monday with a torn ACL that will require surgery, coach Mike Macdonald said. McIntosh, who was competing for the No. 3 running back spot behind Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet,

McIntosh will soon undergo season-ending surgery. He won't make the Seahawks' 53-man roster as a result. With the RB3 spot now wide open behind Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet, rookie running back Damien Martinez will feel pressure to fill that role.
