Army's 250th anniversary celebrated with a military parade in Washington, D.C., on Trump's birthday. 'No Kings' protests by opponents are planned across the country.

The "No Kings" protest and march happening in Philadelphia on Saturday coincides with hundreds of rallies scheduled to take place across the country.

Protests at the Rhode Island State House, India Point Park and across RI radiated defiance on the president's 79th birthday.

The parade was the spectacle event Trump had long wanted. It also helped sparked the largest mass opposition to him since his inauguration 145 days earlier.

As the U.S. Army celebrated its 250th birthday, the same day as President Donald Trump's birthday, a reported over 5 million protested against the President across the country.

Coinciding with Flag Day, the anniversary of the adoption of the Stars and Stripes as the official U.S. flag, and the Army’s 250th anniversary, organizers say the protest is in response to President Donald Trump’s military parade , cuts to Veterans Affairs resources and other cuts to social services and federal departments.

Millions were expected to gather in “No Kings” demonstrations in over 1,500 cities on Saturday, the same day the Army is celebrating its 250th anniversary on Trump’s birthday.
