Old Dominion University sent an alert to students saying they are investigating a "shooting incident" and to remain indoors.

Two individuals were taken to the hospital Wednesday night and have sustained life-threatening injuries after a shooting near ODU’s campus, according to the Norfolk Police Department.

Two people have life-threatening injuries after being shot on W. 49th St. near Broderick Dining Commons at Old Dominion University, police said.

Two people are in the hospital after a shooting at Old Dominion University, Norfolk Police said. On Wednesday, Feb. 26, around 9:40 p.m., NPD was called to the 1400 block of W. 49th Street on ODU campus for a reported shooting.
