A juvenile was injured in a shooting that happened late Friday night in South Sacramento, officials said. According to the Sacramento Sheriff's Office, a shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. Friday on the 6500 block of 47th Avenue in South Sacramento.

Vernon Carl Jordan, 19, of Carmichael was arrested on suspicion of homicide and other charges in connection with the June 1 shooting, the Sacramento Police Department announced Wednesday afternoon.
