Bryce Harper will miss his third consecutive game after leaving Tuesday's contest in the first inning when hit on the elbow by a Spencer Strider fastball.

Philadelphia star Bryce Harper left a game in the first inning after he was hit near the right elbow by a 95.3 mph fastball from Atlanta starter Spencer Strider.

Harper's X-rays were negative and he suffered a right elbow contusion according to MLB.com's Mark Bowman. After the hit by pitch, Strider looked on seemingly distraught as the Phillies' training staff tended to Harper. Following the game, Strider was happy to hear the injury wasn't anything serious.
