Warner Bros. Discovery announced plans in 2023 to develop a new live-action Harry Potter series, with each book in the main franchise to be adapted into one of seven seasons that will come out over 10 years on cable network HBO and its streaming platform HBO Max.
More wizards and witches have joined the upcoming "Harry Potter" HBO series. HBO has announced nine more actors joining the show, including those playing the Malfoy family members and their matriarch, Molly Weasley. Newcomer Lox Pratt will play Draco Malfoy, while "Emma" actor Johnny Flynn has been cast as Lucius Malfoy.
The cast includes (from left to right in the photo below) Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy, Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy, Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown, Bel Powley as Petunia Dursley, Daniel Rigby as Vernon Dursley and Bertie Carvel as Cornelius Fudge.

Rigby most recently starred in shows such as “I, Jack Wright,” “Renegade Nell,” and “Tom Jones.” He is also set to appear in Amazon’s upcoming sci-fi series “Blade Runner 2099,” which continues the story of the film franchise. He won a BAFTA TV Award for best actor in 2011 for his starring role in “Eric and Ernie.”
