Niklaus didn't hold back in his assessment of Scheffler's dominance, and may have hit on an underlying issue in professional golf.

Scheffler is looking forward to playing "in such a strong field" and said: "It's an event and a course I enjoy playing given we only get to play links golf a couple of times a year."
