Bartlett's heroism was on display again on July 15 when the SWAT team traveled to Levelland to help police there with an armed man who had allegedly shot at police from his home.

LEVELLAND, Texas (KCBD) - Sergeant Joshua Bartlett was killed in the line of duty on June 15, 2021. It started with a call that 22-year-old Omar Soto Chavira was lying naked in the street.

On the one-year anniversary of LSO Sgt. Joshua Bartlett’s death while protecting their city, the community of Levelland gathered to remember his sacrifice by naming a park in his honor.
