Kansas men’s basketball coach Bill Self was hospitalized after he experienced “some concerning symptoms,” the school said in a statement Thursday.

Kansas Jayhawks men’s basketball coach Bill Self was hospitalized Thursday after experiencing “some concerning symptoms,” KU Athletics said in an early-evening news release. Self was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, the release stated, where he had two stents inserted.

Self, 62, was transported to the hospital after he "felt unwell and experienced some concerning symptoms," the school said.
