Reese Atwood, the Longhorns’ All-American catcher, shook out of a Women’s College World Series slump at just the right time with a two-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning to lift Texas to a 2-1 victory in the game one of the best-of-three championship series at Devon Park. The second game starts at 7 p.m. Thursday.
