Wabasha man cares for tree from sapling in 1945 to $10K in lumber in 2024 Tom Gosse felled three walnut trees outside his Wabasha home harvesting an estimated 2,400 board feet of quality lumber.

With the removal of trees, acreage devoted to walnut production decreased for the first time ever, the CWB said, citing an acreage survey that was conducted between October 2022 and June 2023.
