Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love suffered an injury in the second quarter against the Chicago Bears in Week 18. The star quarterback exited the game and was being evaluated by the training staff on the Packers sideline with an apparent elbow injury.

The team initially listed quarterback Jordan Love (right elbow) and wide receiver Christian Watson (knee) as questionable to return. After halftime, the Packers confirmed Watson is out for the rest of the game.

The Packers lost to the Eagles in the NFC Wild Card Round but despite having a bad game Jordan Love didn't use injury as an excuse.

Jordan Love received a large chunk of blame on social media for the way the season ended, but others took a look at a bigger picture.

Love suffered his injury on a first-and-10 play as the Packers trailed, 14-3 in the second quarter. He faced pressure in the pocket and dumped the ball off to running back Josh Jacobs as he got hit. Love stood up after the hit shaking and flexing his right hand. He pointed to his hand, and trainers took to the field to inspect the injury.

With longtime quarterbacks coach Tom Clements retiring, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said Jordan Love's next step is "to evolve as a vocal leader."

While Love's health was in question this week, the Packers also hope to see a strengthened defense as linebacker Quay Walker (ankle) and safety Evan Williams (quadriceps), who each missed the last three regular-season games, are expected to return.
