Western Michigan University provost resigns after two years
KALAMAZOO, MI -- Western Michigan University Provost Julian Vasquez Heilig has resigned. Vasquez Heilig’s resignation was announced in an email from the university on Thursday, Jan. 30. Vasquez Heilig will continue at WMU as a faculty member.
After more than 40 years in prison, Morris was paroled Jan. 9, according to the Michigan Department of Corrections. She will remain on parole until Jan. 9, 2029, a few months shy of her 100th birthday. Bay City is about a 110-mile drive northwest from Detroit.
