New York Islanders rumors suggest Kyle Palmieri could be on the move, with the New Jersey Devils interested ahead of the NHL trade deadline.

The New York Islanders could trade winger Kyle Palmieri before the deadline, potentially to the Pacific Division's Los Angeles Kings.

After a string of wins and impressive performances, the New York Islanders now find themselves just four points back of a Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference.

With a five-game winning streak and eight victories in their last 10 games, the Islanders are as confounding as ever.

While adding a player like Palmieri could address immediate needs, it won’t be simple for the Kings. Right now, Los Angeles has $10.9 million in cap space. Once Drew Doughty is activated from LTIR, however, that space will evaporate as Doughty carries a cap hit of $11 million.
