PLANO, Texas — A 58-year-old man in North Texas has been sentenced to 40 years in prison without the possibility of parole after he was found guilty of sexually abusing his two adopted daughters for years.

A North Texas lawmaker has filed a bill that would reduce what DART can collect in taxes from its member cities. The cities are happy, but DART argues the loss in funding would be devastating.

The city of Plano says it wants better service from DART, including adding a version of on-demand shuttle service to meet the needs of the largest city in Collin County.

"This strategic decision will involve relocating KFC U.S. corporate office employees currently in Louisville, Kentucky, to the KFC and Pizza Hut Global headquarters in Plano, Texas. In addition, U.S.-based remote employees will be asked to relocate to the campus where their work happens."

PLANO, Texas — Plano East High School canceled classes Thursday due to a heating issue amid freezing-cold temperatures across North Texas, officials said. Three boilers became inoperable on the campus, according to a statement from the Plano school district.
