The Toronto Maple Leafs received some positive development Tuesday morning as defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson returned to practice in Calgary ahead of the club’s evening matchup with the Flames.

Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman Oliver Ekman-Larsson missed Monday’s practice due to having a maintenance day. This comes after he exited Saturday’s win over the Edmonton Oilers due to a lower-body injury.

On the night John Tavares and Matthew Knies returned to the lineup, defenceman Oliver Ekman-Larsson exited after the second period against the Edmonton Oilers with a lower-body injury Saturday. It wasn't immediately apparent when Ekman-Larsson was hurt. After the Leafs' win, coach Craig Berube said Ekman-Larsson was day-to-day.
