Ohio State has lost consecutive two-point games to top-25 teams, most recently a 70-68 defeat at No. 24 Wisconsin on Tuesday night. That same day, Indiana took a 94-69 home loss to No. 18 Illinois that, on the heels of an 85-60 loss at Iowa three days earlier, had Hoosiers fans chanting for coach Mike Woodson to be fired.
The Hoosiers’ four losses this year were by an average of 21.5 points. In two true Big Ten road games, Indiana lost by a combined 42 points.
Coming off a loss, Indiana has yet another marquee matchup looming: No. 4 USC at noon Sunday in Bloomington. If the Hoosiers display another showing like Thursday, they could be in for a long day against Trojans sophomore guard JuJu Watkins and graduate student forward Kiki Iriafen.
