Divers swim the Sandusky River the morning of May 19, looking for a missing 5-year-old child after a train-pedestrian accident on the Fremont trestle bridge on May 18.

The 5-year-old went missing in the Sandusky River after being hit. The collision happened around 7 p.m. on Sunday on the Miles Newton Bridge near Hayes Avenue.

Two people are dead, another is missing after multiple people were struck by a train near the Sandusky River in downtown Fremont, Ohio, Sunday night. Police say the family was on a fishing trip.

19 News reached out to Fremont Police, Fremont Fire Department, the Sandusky County Sheriff’s Office, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol for more information. We have not yet heard back.
