One quarterback this year, Jalen Milroe, is a true developmental prospect who seems very unlikely to start for the Seattle Seahawks this season. The other five all seem to have a decent chance to become their team's starter this season, including two different rookies with the Cleveland Browns.
But the New York Giants share plenty of blame for how they handled his tenure in the Meadowlands. The organization failed to surround the No. 6 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft with an adequate offensive line or a star wide receiver before Malik Nabers arrived last season.
The New York Giants brought in two cornerstone pieces for the future in the 2025 NFL Draft. With the No. 3 pick, they landed Penn State's elite pass rusher Abdul Carter. Later in the first round, they traded back in to get Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart.
What are the odds that Jaxson Dart is going to be a true franchise quarterback? History says there is a 14.2 percent chance that the Giants drafted a future NFL MVP. Not bad, actually. But history also says there is a 50 percent chance that Dart will flame out after 10 or fewer career wins.
Outside of quarterback, there look to be some intriguing position battles unfolding at running back, right guard and wide receiver.
