Kilmar Abrego Garcia was released from pre-trial detention and head edback to his home state of Maryland — but it's unclear if ICE will seek to deport him again.

Abrego Garcia walked out of federal custody for the first time since March, when he was deported to El Salvador in what the government has called an "administrative error."

Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was wrongly deported in March before being brought back to the U.S., was released from criminal custody in Tennessee and on his way to Maryland, an attorney for Abrego Garcia told ABC News.
