Kansas City Royals star Bobby Witt Jr. notched the 100th home run of his MLB career in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Texas Rangers. In doing so, he entered an elite group of shortstops.

In the eighth inning against the Texas Rangers, Witt notched his 100th career home run. He battled Rangers right-handed reliever Cole Winn for nine pitches before connecting on a two-run blast over the center-field wall in Kauffman Stadium.

Witt represents the new guard of multi-dimensional superstars. He finished runner-up to Aaron Judge for 2024 AL MVP and is a two-time all-star who won a Gold Glove last year. He has stolen at least 30 bases in each of his four MLB seasons while twice reaching 30 homers.
