King of the Hill created the perfect sendoff for the late Jonathan Joss’ character John Redcorn in the season finale of the series’ revival, which aired two months after the actor was shot and killed.

The late Johnny Hardwick, who voiced Dale Gribble in the original series, recorded lines for some of the episodes in the revival before his death in 2023. IMDB credits Toby Huss, who has voiced the iconic characters of Hank's neighbor Kahn and Hank's father Cotton, as Dale Gribble's new voice actor in the other episodes of the show.
