Ceasefire talks between Cambodia and Thailand were underway in Malaysia on Monday after days of deadly clashes on their disputed border sent civilians scrambling for safety and relations between the two neighbors cratering.

PHNOM PENH: Cambodia and Thailand will continue with mediation talks to resolve their border dispute at a general border committee (GBC) meeting scheduled to be held in Malaysia later this week. The GBC was part of a ceasefire agreement reached between the two countries at a special meeting in Putrajaya on July 28.
