Milwaukee Fire Chief Aaron Lipski said investigators are combing through evidence at the apartment building where five people died in a fire.

A student at Milwaukee Area Technical College captured a dramatic photo Tuesday morning of a chair on fire at the college's student center.

MFD Chief Aaron Lipski said they still can't rule anything out when it comes to the cause of the fire at Highland Court Apartments.

Four other people were critically injured, and 30 others were rescued after the fire broke out on Sunday morning, the authorities said.

An "intentional act" cannot be ruled out as the cause of a fatal fire that occurred Sunday morning near 27th and Highland, according to Milwaukee Fire Chief Aaron Lipski.

Davis and her fiancé, Alejandro Gonzalez, were on their third-floor balcony as smoke filled the hallways of their apartment at 27th Street and Highland Boulevard. A woman on the balcony above them sought help for her almost two-year-old child.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed five deaths following the fire near 27th Street and Highland Boulevard on Mother's Day.
