The NWS Blacksburg VA issued an extreme cold watch at 2:29 p.m. on Friday valid from Monday 4 a.m. until Wednesday noon. The watch is for Ashe, Alleghany and Watauga counties.

The National Weather Service issued an extreme cold watch at 2:21 p.m. on Friday valid from Monday 4 a.m. until Wednesday noon for Northern Clinton, Northern Centre and Northern Lycoming as well as Warren,

On Thursday at 2:16 p.m. the NWS Blacksburg VA issued a wind advisory valid from 7 p.m. until Friday 4 a.m. The advisory is for Ashe, Alleghany and Watauga counties.

With dangerously cold temperatures coming into the region next week, the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued an “extreme cold watch”. The watch begins Sunday night and runs through Tuesday morning.
