This extension is further confirmation the Seahawks are under the direct rule of John Schneider for the foreseeable future. And why wouldn't the team be? During his now-lengthy tenure in the Pacific Northwest,

“Scoopage: continuity in Seattle, the Seahawks have given John Schneider a four year extension keeping their President of Football Operations/GM through the 2030 draft.
