These details sounded a lot like “The Smurfs,” the dreadful 2011 movie that marked the last time the Smurfs were at your local bijou. In that film, Katy Perry played Smurfette and Jonathan Winters was cast as Papa Smurf. Their real world adventure placed them in the Smurfiest place in America, New York City.
Smurfs' features corny jokes and childish humor, which is exactly what is going to ensure it is a hit with children, although parents might struggle.
