With US president Donald Trump set to meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Friday, several European leaders have voiced their support for Ukraine to have agency in peace negotiations.

Vladimir Putin has given no indication that he is interested in reaching a durable settlement to end the Russia-Ukraine War.

Washington’s push to negotiate an end to the war has raised concerns the Trump administration will make concessions to Moscow that Kyiv finds unacceptable.
