A third international prospect will be joining the Louisville men's basketball program as part of their 2025 recruiting class, as Vangelis Zougris has given his verbal pledge to the Cardinals.

In the 2024-25 season with Peristeri, Zougris has averaged 6.6 points and 4.4 rebounds per game across 27 contests. He shot 65% from the floor while playing an average of 16.1 minutes per appearance.

Zougris averaged 11.6 and 8.3 rebounds in seven games during the 2024 FIBA U20 EuroBasket, as well as 14.4 points and 11.1 rebounds in seven more games in the 2023 FIBA U20 European Championship.

Evangelos “Vangelis” Zougris is a promising addition to Louisville basketball, but a recent graphic from the program may have placed a bit too much weight on his shoulders.
