State media in Vietnam report that 34 people were killed after a boat carrying tourists capsized during a sudden thunderstorm. Eight others are missing.

At least 18 bodies have been recovered and another 12 people have been rescued after a tourist boat capsized in Vietnam’s Halong Bay on Saturday, according to state media.

The boat, carrying 48 passengers and five crew members, was on a sightseeing tour of Ha Long Bay when a sudden storm caused it to overturn, state media said. At least 10 people were rescued.
