WICHITA, Kan. – Luke Babbitt scored 17 of his 23 points in the second half to help Nevada hang on for a 74-70 victory over host Wichita State in the first round of the NIT on Wednesday night.

It was announced Thursday morning at Mayor Lily Wu’s briefing that Wichita State has won a bid to host the championship final four of the Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament in 2026 and 2027.
