Amazon.com Inc.’s Zoox autonomous driving unit opened a robotaxi production facility in California in the latest move by a deep-pocketed tech company to expand the nascent industry.
The facility will help Zoox grow its robotaxi fleet, eventually producing 10,000 vehicles a year once it’s at full scale.
Zoox said its new factory will eventually build 10,000 robotaxis a year as it gears up for launches in Las Vegas and San Francisco.
