Indiana State Police officials have charged a second person accused of helping Austin Schepers elude law enforcement.

Adams, who was already incarcerated at the Scott County Jail on unrelated charges, has now also been charged with assisting a criminal and false informing. He's the second person arrested for allegedly helping Schepers.

Investigators followed several leads over the years, but their big breakthrough came in late 2024 when the ISP laboratory was able to identify one of Long’s potential family members using DNA techniques.
