On Saturday, it was reported by Jeff Fletcher of SoCal News Group that Trout ran on the field and took batting practice, indicating his return is near. However, Fletcher added the Angels now face a major decision on how often to play Trout in the field.

Manager Ron Washington says the team’s plan was to have Trout return to the lineup on Monday in Boston, but the three-time AL MVP says he felt good enough to come back as the DH this weekend.
