Microsoft has announced that the final day it will offer security support for Word, Excel, and Powerpoint on Windows 10 will be Oct. 14.

“Microsoft 365 Apps will no longer be supported after October 14, 2025, on Windows 10 devices,” the company confirmed. “To use Microsoft 365 Applications on your device, you will need to upgrade to Windows 11.”

With support for Windows 10 set to be dropped soon, Microsoft has confirmed Office/M365 apps will also lose support.

Microsoft will cease support for Microsoft 365 apps on Windows 10 from October 2025, pushing users to upgrade to Windows 11. Extended Security Updates will be available for those who delay the transition.
