AEW owner Tony Khan says that plans always called for AEW Grand Slam: Australia to be held on television, at the request of their media partner WBD

"Having [Grand Slam Australia] be a TV event has always been the plan," says AEW's Tony Khan. Tony Khan has claimed AEW's upcoming Grand Slam Australia event was always intended to be a television event, not a pay-per-view.

AEW Grand Slam Australia moved to Brisbane Entertainment Centre, which only seats 13,000 - much smaller than previous events.
