Canada’s Alberta Premiere Danielle Smith has called for the Liberal government led by outgoing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to appoint a Canadian Border Czar to work with his US counterpart Tom Homan before Saturday (Feb 1),

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith said Wednesday that Canada should name a “border czar” to work closely with the U.S. on border security, amid the looming threat of a sweeping 25 per cent tariff. Smith suggested a retired military general would be the right person for the post.

"What ICE did in Chicago is saved children. What we did in New York today is save children," Homan said in response to liberal commentator's claim that the raids were "performative."
