The headliner of the 2025 RBC Canadian Open field will not be playing on the weekend. Rory McIlroy's week went from bad to worse on Friday at TPC Toronto, as he followed a opening-round 71 with a second-round 78 to miss the cut by 12 shots.

Many of the world's best golfers are back at TPC Toronto for the second round of the 2025 RBC Canadian Open. A good portion of the field — including several Canadians competing in their national open — entered Friday looking to follow up stellar opening rounds after morning rain provided excellent scoring conditions Thursday.

The three-time PGA Tour winner was ready to play in this week's Korn Ferry Tour, before getting a last-minute call that he made the field in Canada. Now, he's taken advantage of the opportunity.
