Jack Fire initially started 6:52 p.m. June 5 in Kern County. Since its discovery 26 hours ago, it has burned 50 acres, an increase of 35 acres since the last update. There is currently no information on the containment of the fire.

A 133-acre wildfire burning in Kern County near Lebec has prompted evacuation warnings on Thursday morning. The fire was first reported shortly before midnight near Lebec along the southbound 5 Freeway near the Fort Tejon ramp, according to the Kern County Fire Department.

A brush fire along the western edge of the 5 Freeway in the Grapevine burned 220 acres before the spread of the flames was stopped Thursday morning, June 5, the Kern County Fire Department said.
