A tornado watch has been issued for much of central Minnesota including the Twin Cities metro, according to the National Weather Service Twin Cities. The watch, in effect until 9 p.m., is for the following Minnesota counties: Aitkin,

At 5 p.m. there have been reports of a tornado near Bertha in Todd County. Tornado warnings have since followed in Stearns County, with the storm moving northeast. There has also been an observed tornado in the Brainerd area, per the NWS.
