Phone 17 color rumors continue to surface. The latest word is that Apple plans to expand the MacBook Air's new Sky Blue ...

A new report suggests the iPhone 17 Air could come in a Sky Blue finish, a color originally meant for the iPhone 17 Pro.

Put these three things together, and a blue sky is inevitable. Here's how it all comes together. Light of many different wavelengths, not all of which are visible, are emitted by the Sun.

And I must remind myself that a sky blue iPhone 17 Air is a rumored color on a rumored product so all the usual caveats apply. But we're talking about Apple here.

In actual fact, the sea is blue for similar reasons as the sky. When sunlight hits the ocean, the colours with longer wavelengths, red, orange, yellow and green, ar absorbed so that blue is left over.

As for that new color option, sky blue, it replaces space gray. Starlight, silver, and midnight are still around from last year (and midnight is unchanged, so expect some fingerprint smudginess).
