Hearts were heavy Wednesday evening as the community remembers Sophia Subedi — the 9-year-old girl who tragically lost her life in a drowning incident at Hersheypark’s Boardwalk last week.A funeral was held for her at Geigle Funeral Home in Harrisburg where hundreds of people showed up in honor of Sophia’s life.

Funeral today for girl who drowned at Hersheypark

A funeral and memorial service for the 9-year-old girl who drowned last week at Hersheypark is taking place later today. The Bhutanese Community of Harrisburg is inviting the entire community to join in remembering 9-year-old Sophia Subedi at Giegle Funeral Home at 2100 Linglestown Road in Susquehanna Township today.
