The addition of Avelo helped McGhee Tyson Airport become the fastest-growing major U.S. airport in 2024. Nearly 3.3 million passengers passed through TYS in 2025, according to the airport's data.

Officials with the airport confirmed Thursday that the airport will begin offering those flights starting in March 2026.
