A day before "Tex" the grizzly bear was found dead on Texada Island, a plan to trap and relocate him was already in motion.

Erik Blaney of Shishálh First Nation says it took several days to secure the right bear trap, while keeping the plan quiet. Residents say the bear might still be alive if they knew about the plan.
